The 2023 Subaru Solterra in Albuquerque, NM is Set to Arrive in Late Spring

By now, you're probably aware of the supply chain issues and microchip shortages that have plagued the automotive industry since the COVID pandemic forced global shutdowns of so many plants and factories. No different from other car manufacturers, Subaru was hit hard, and is feeling the repercussions as well. However, even with all the craziness, the company has developed and is now building its first electric vehicle, and the response is overwhelmingly positive! The 2023 Subaru Solterra in Albuquerque, NM will arrive in late spring of this year.

Overview
As Subaru's first EV, the Solterra naturally features all-wheel-drive as standard, a hallmark of Subaru vehicles. The platform was co-developed with Toyota and is set to serve as the automaker's underpinnings for future electric cars. It was explicitly designed for all-electric vehicles and is Subaru's most rigid platform ever built. It features a reinforced structure and strategic crumple zones for excellent crash protection.  Quite similar to the upcoming Toyota bZ4X, the Solterra stands out with understated Subaru styling and an easier to remember name! It comes with plenty of standard driver-assist technology, has mild off-road capabilities, and has a range of over 220 miles.

Power and Performance
The Solterra is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack and has two permanent-magnet electric motors, one for the front wheel axle and one for the rear, which put out 107.3 horsepower each. Combined output is 215 hp, with 248 lb-ft of torque for substantial get-up-and-go at all speeds. Passing another car on the highway and merging into traffic will never be a problem in the 2023 Subaru Solterra in Albuquerque, NM
No details about the battery have been given yet, but Subaru's new EV comes with a Level 1 charger that works in any standard 120V outlet, and you can install a 240V Level 2 charger for even faster charging. Subaru has also chosen EVgo, a public EV fast-charging network that's the first to be powered by 100% renewable energy, as their charging partner, allowing Subaru EV owners access to more than 46,000 public Level 2 and DCFC charging stations around the US. If you're out adventuring, you'll have access to almost 3,000 DCFC stations that will give you 80% of your battery capacity in less than an hour.
Inside the 2023 Subaru Solterra in Albuquerque, NM
You'll enjoy a flat load floor, ample rear legroom, and up to 126 cubic feet of passenger space in the Solterra, which has the airy feel of something much larger. A big infotainment touchscreen, a high-mounted digital gauge cluster, and an elevated center console with a rotary shift knob take precedence up front. The large side windows, steep windshield, and panoramic sunroof give the cabin even more of an open feel. The rear bench seat folds flat, making a 30 cubic foot cargo area accessible from a 41-inch, wide-opening hatchback with a low lift-over height.
Upscale materials abound inside, like the denim-like cloth-covered dashboard, soft touchpoints, and glossy piano black center console and touchscreen area. With all these attractive textures throughout the Solterra, the cabin is an aesthetically pleasing place to be.
