Overview

The platform was co-developed with Toyota and is set to serve as the automaker's underpinnings for future electric cars. It was explicitly designed for all-electric vehicles and is Subaru's most rigid platform ever built. It comes with plenty of standard driver-assist technology, has mild off-road capabilities, and has a range of over 220 miles. 

 

Power and Performance

The Solterra is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack and has two permanent-magnet electric motors, one for the front wheel axle and one for the rear, which put out 107.3 horsepower each. Combined output is 215 hp, with 248 lb-ft of torque for substantial get-up-and-go at all speeds.
